Whoever is considering a course — languages, programming, beauty, driving — has the same four questions.
If the website doesn’t answer them, they don’t call to ask. They simply close it and move on.
1. How much does it cost
This comes first. A course with no price on the website means one of two things: it is expensive, or I will have to negotiate. Both put people off.
If the price depends on the group or the schedule — give a range and say what changes it.
2. When does it start and how long does it last
A specific date, not “soon”. The number of hours, how many times a week, at what time.
Someone who works nine to five knows straight away whether it suits them — and that is the information they look for before anything else.
3. What will I know at the end
Not a list of topics — a result. “You will be able to build a website with WordPress yourself” is clearer than “HTML, CSS, WordPress basics, hosting”.
If there is a certificate — say who issues it and what it means. If it isn’t recognised anywhere, don’t present it as if it were.
4. Who teaches it
A name, a photo, what they do in practice. A programming course run by someone who still writes code today is more convincing than one with an anonymous “team of instructors”.
The sign-up — the most expensive place for a mistake
A form with twelve fields loses people. Name, phone, email, which course — that’s enough. The rest can be agreed after a conversation.
And an immediate confirmation: “We have received your application and will call you by tomorrow.” Silence after signing up is the most common reason people go elsewhere.
What past students say
For training, this is worth more than anything you write yourself. Three short testimonials with a name and a photo — real ones, not made up.
Even stronger: what they did afterwards. “After the course, Maria got a job as…” is exactly what anyone thinking of signing up wants to hear.
If you run online courses
Say how they work — live over Zoom, or recorded to watch whenever you like. Both have an audience, but people need to know what they are buying.
And say whether the recordings stay available after the course ends. Everyone has that question, and hardly any website answers it.
